My son is autistic, so I was a little worried about how he would react to having braces. The doctors and staff were wonderful and were very patient with him. A few years later, his braces are off and now his teeth look beautiful! I am so happy we came to Badalamenti for braces! I highly recommend them!

I think this was a wonderful yet adventurous experience with my braces.I am very thankful that my teeth are straighten and I have no problems with eating anymore and no more food getting stuck in my teeth. Badalamenti-Frerlito is the dentist you should be at if you want straight teeth and the process don’t and not only are my teeth straight. The people their are very nice and welcoming to you as soon as you walk in the door and never have a problem with them.

I had a wonderful experience at this location for my oldest's Ortho and never had any issues. Over the past few years, the staff remain very courteous and professional. As long as we're on time they're on time and there is no additional wait time for scheduled appointments. I love that I know exactly how long each appointments is and is able to plan accordingly. Thank you for making this a positive experience for my first born!

I CANNOT say enough nice things about everyone who works there. From my initial consultation to getting my braces off. Every interaction, from everyone, was met with a smile and a check-in with how I was doing that day. Every need was always quickly taken care of without ever feeling rushed out the door. I was always made to feel that I was important and welcome. The staff understands what treatment is like because they’ve had or are in treatment themselves. So, it was great to have that extra support! If you’re on the fence about getting Invisalign or braces as an adult, just go talk to them. I’m so glad I did!

If I could leave 0 stars, I certainly would. This is the most unprofessional orthodontist. They don’t care about their patients. They have done more damage to my mouth over the last couple of years and left me with wires and brackets that aren’t doing anything because they haven’t been touched. Every time I have had an appointment scheduled they mess something up and have canceled on me. I couldn’t get ahold of them for the longest time. Now this time trying to get an appointment scheduled, they blamed me for the condition my mouth is in that THEY left it in and when I didn’t agree they hung up on me 3 times. I’ve already paid thousands into my mouth treatment and now have to start over with someone else. If you want good quality treatment, I don’t recommend this place.

My daughter wore braces for about 6 years due to an impacted tooth that was tedious and timely to bring down through her gums. She just recently had the braces removed, and her smile is beautiful, but because of the extensive treatment she has some bone loss in her jaw and gums. Not to mention multiple cavities that are a result of plaque buildup not being able to brush or floss completely between her teeth. She was a faithful flosser and we took her to the dentist for her annual tooth cleanings. She now has been refered to a periodontist where she may need some bone grafting to address this issue. If having braces on all that time wasnt bad enough and now having to deal with this is most uunfortunate. I think this situation could have somehow been avoided or taken in a different direction...because what good are straightened teeth if the bone loss leads to her teeth falling out as she ages.

In the end, my daughters teeth look beautiful. That's what's most important. The Shelby Township office is modern, clean, and offers amenities that kids appreciate. Would I choose the same practice for my son if he needs braces? For appointment scheduling reasons, probably not. I found scheduling appointments around school hours challenging.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I’m doing this for the 2 movie tickets lol.My journey with braces was really comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. There’s always snacks and juice available, which I made sure to grab before I left. They even have cords for you to charge your phone with! I loved how I got points each time I visited them, which in turn let me get free gift cards. The day I got my braces off I got a goodie bag full of snacks, it was great and I didn’t expect it. I’m beyond happy with my smile and I got my braces off sooner than expected! Now I’m not afraid to show my smile off!

I would recommend Badalamenti Orthodontics to anyone. They are very nice and caring, they always get me in when something goes wrong, like a bracket breaking or a rubber band coming off and I have never been charged any extra for it. The inside of the building is really nice they have everything you need while waiting in the lobby as to kid computer games, a television, cell phone charging table, coffee, cookies, juices boxes. When we first found out my daughter needed to see an ortho she was extremely nervous but once we stepped foot into BF Ortho my daughter was so amazed. Dr. Badalamenti was my orthodontist, so naturally when it was time for my sons to receive orthodontic care, there’s no other place I would trust. Dr. B customizes an oral care plan specifically to each person, it’s not a one size fits all treatment program. Last but not least, Dr. B and his staff are warm, friendly, and create a very welcoming environment for families and especially for kids who may be nervous about getting braces. I took my daughter to the Detroit Dental School of Orthodontics to have braces put on her teeth. After approximately 14 months they said her procedure was over but her teeth were not straight and my daughter and I were very disappointed. Both of my kids started coming to see Dr. B when then they were about 8 years old, at which time he would just evaluate what he thought would be needed in the future. All 3 of our children have been patients of Dr B, and they all have beautiful teeth! Prior to our first child starting treatment, I consulted two other orthodontists and chose Dr B because his treatment plan was the most cutting edge and I felt that he would address my child's orthodontia issues most effectively. Yesterday was our first visit and my daughter was very nervous. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and made her feel comfortable. Prior to the dr coming in she was getting examined and her lip began to bleed and the employee was kind enough to giver her some Chapstick. The dr did a great job of explaining the prospective plan. We feel we are in good hands moving forward!

My daughter and husband came in for my daughters appointment. She was nervous but excited. I stayed home with my other children. When my daughter came home and walked through the door I asked her how it went. She said "it went great Mom!!! I'm part of a club!" Then she continued to tell me that she got a cookie, a juice box, and a cool toy! She raved about how comfortable the chair was and how nice the doctors was! She still nervous to get the work done but she sure is a whole lot more comfortable with the idea of it and looks forward to going back to the office! So thank you!!!

About 10 years ago (or a little more) my first son needed braces. After a lot of searching we came in for a consultation. I found Dr. B and his staff to be knowledgeable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with my choice to use them. Excellent result when the braces came off.Not long after son #1 had his braces off I took in son #2. Excellent results again!A couple years after that daughter #1 who had straight teeth but bum luck that her back molars were turning outward. Dr B worked with us on the cost as she would need to have braces to correct the back teeth. Not surprising- great results again. ( I forgot to mention daughter #2 went in for consultation when she was about 8 yrs old. Snaggle tooth. Dr. B fitted her with a retainer that corrected her teeth. We were very hopeful to avoid braces with her.)About 3 years after that daughter #2 in for a consultation. She has a lot of overcrowding. Dr. B is working with her dentist to get some teeth out a little earlier to allow some of the teeth coming in some room to move to correct position.I highly recommend you take your children in for consultation around 7-9 years old. Sometimes a very inexpensive retainer or his advise will save you money in the later years but also give your child the confidence of a great smile!

I've said it to anyone who asks, Dr. B and his group are the best!!!! Took a little girl who was terrified to have braces and after the first appointment she couldn't wait to go back. She was actually ticked she wouldn't be getting braces for a year. She is now wearing her Invisalign trays and you can't even tell she has braces. I was a patient of Dr B's in 1983. All I can remember being a High school Junior back then was that my Orthodontist was extremely GOOD LOOKING LOL!!!!!My teeth still look pretty good for an old lady LOLSeveral years back I switched dentist offices and became a patient of Dr Mitchell the office located right by your office. I was thrilled because I needed a new retainer and now didn't have to go elsewhere since it had been many many years that I had seen Dr B..... So I came in a made an appt it took them awhile to locate my records but sure enough found them in one of the boxes kept in the archives pretty sure it was covered in dust HahaMove forward to the last 6 or so years I had the pleasure of both my daughters being patients of Dr B's and their experience was a great one. They also make every effort to work around your schedule. One of those ways, is being open late on certain days. That definitely helps, so I don't have to take off work all the time. This is a great place to get braces! All of the staff is very friendly. Everyone is very thorough with what they do making sure you get the best treatment every step of the way. Both doctors take the time to meet with you, go over everything in detail and answer any questions you may have, making you feel comfortable and in good hands. Even when it comes to payment (for someone without ortho coverage) they offer great options and make sure that you can have a great smile without a serious dent in your wallet. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

Dr. B was the second orthodontist we visited. We first went to an orthodontist recommended by a dentist we no longer see. My daughter was frightened of that orthodontist and so I called a friend who's son recently had braces to ask about her doctor. She raved about Dr. B. Even though the office is across town from us, I made an appointment to try for a better experience. I literally dragged my daughter into the appointment crying. When we left, she was bouncing and complaining she couldn't go back for another six months. Dr. B and his staff are amazing. They care about their patients and really understand kids. I've been so happy with this experience. While not every part of braces is fun, my daughter still loves going to Dr. Badalamenti.
